What are some mind-blowing facts about bodybuilding?

It's the best sport to do for a life time.

Over 70's bodybuilder.

Bodybuilding helps maintain muscle mass which helps fight off many diseases that people get when aging. It helps stability, reducing the chances of a fall which is a considerable factor in older people. And it improves quality of life at all stages of life.

Its the best sport for women to reach their body goals.

As a personal trainer you will hear this excuse all the time.

“I don't want to lift weights because I'll get to big”

Because their is a irrational fear of over success when it comes to bodybuilding.

Philosophy from my dad.

My dad is a lifelong gym goer and runner. And he would always say:

“Your body is the vessel you experience the world in”

When your strong and healthy, you have more energy and more ability than others to experience life.

  • I don't want to be 60 and not able to climb a mountain with my family.
  • I don't want to be 70 and unable to chase my grandkids around.
  • I don't want to be 80 and not scare my granddaughters first boyfriend.
  • I don't want to be 90 and have a nurse help me squat off the toilet.

Because of my choices. I choose to spend 4% of my day (1 hour) in hell. So that for a lifetime I can perform the way I want to.

I think that pretty underrated.
